On 17 August 2019 at the St. Benilde Gym in La Salle Green Hills, the Lasallian community witnessed God’s love and generosity with gift of vocations through four events: the Acceptance to the Postulancy of 10 Postulants from the Lasallian East Asia District (LEAD) and 3 from the District of Vietnam, the Profession of First Vows of Br. Carlo Rementilla FSC and Br. Raphael Miguel Crisostomo FSC, the Silver Jubilee of Br. Jose Mari Jimenez FSC, and the Golden Jubilee of Br. Narciso Erguiza, Jr. FSC.

Beyond being an excellent teacher and administrator, his ability to capture the hearts of his students and fellow teacher was immense--his students from Malaysia would continue to visit him in the Philippines.

The Brothers of the Sector of Japan were able to enjoy together the beauty of these ‘fire flowers’ atop a breezy viewpoint in Kagoshima, Japan during their Sector Assembly last 24-25 August.

On 25-27 August 2019, Br. Felipe Belleza FSC, Auxiliary Visitor of Lasallian East Asia District, visited La Salle Chotiravi Nakhon Sawan Brother’s Community and School to meet the Brothers, administrators, juniorates, faculty, and students.

The House of Studies (HOST) Community in the Philippines had its soft opening on 27 May 2019, when the second-year scholastic Brothers – Br. Mico de Leon FSC, Br. Kino Escolano FSC, Br. Jeano Endaya FSC, and Br. Ivan Umali FSC – arrived in the house located in the Brothers’ residence in De La Salle University.

On 22 August 2019, Br. Randrianasolo Z a fi m a m o n j y J e a n d e D i e u F S C successfully defended his PhD dissertation entitled “Lasallian Leadership Practices of School Leaders in Madagasikara: A Convergent Parallel Mixed Method Study,” as partial fulfilment of requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education Major in Educational Leadership and Management. Congratulations, Br Jean!

On 2-3 September, after his trip to Sri Lanka, Br. Armin headed back to Singapore to visit our Brothers, this time in the community of St Patrick’s School located in the East Coast of Singapore.

In the border between Thailand and Myanmar, is the Bamboo School. It has been nearly twelve years since the mission of the Brothers in the Bamboo School began. The school is opened to educate the stateless and marginalised children.

On 25-26 September 2019, Br. Felipe, Auxiliary Visitor of LEAD, visited the Maymyo community in Myanmar. This is his first pastoral visit to Myanmar since he became Auxiliary Visitor.
