Celebrating 170 Years Of La Salle In Malaysia Thanksgiving Mass

MALAYSIA - In conjunction with the 170th Anniversary of the arrival of the De La Salle Brothers in Malaya in 1852, the La Salle Brothers Malaysia in collaboration with the Malaysian Federation of Lasallian Alumni Associations (MFOLSA) organised a Thanksgiving Mass at St John’s Cathedral at 10.00am on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

The main celebrant at the Thanksgiving Mass was Archbishop Julian Leow, a Lasallian from St Paul’s Institution, Seremban, with Fr Patrick Massang, another Lasallian from St Michael’s Institution, concelebrating.

PHILIPPINES - Eleven De La Salle University faculty researchers are included in the 2022 list of the world's top 2% researchers across all disciplines, in a paper published by a team led by Stanford University statistician John loannidis (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw).

The list includes approximately 200,000 scholars from all over the world.

Jocv Donan Alumni Association’s 2nd Presentation Contest

JAPAN - La Salle won the top prize in both the junior high and high school divisions.

In the junior high school division, Mr. Adachi, a junior at La Salle Junior High School, gave a presentation on "Global Energy Issues.

In the high school division, La Salle Mission club students presented "Think Globally Act Locally (Toward the realization of multicultural conviviality)”.

Mr. Ishimaru, Director of JICA Hokkaido, an alumnus of Hakodate La Salle, came as a judge.
