DLSU Maintains Position In 2023 The World University Rankings

PHILIPPINES - For the fifth straight year, De La Salle University is among the world’s top universities according to the 2023 edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It retains its last year’s standing in the 1,201-1,500 bracket.

The rankings evaluate research-intensive HEIs across all their core functions including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.

This year, 1,799 institutions, or about six percent of over 26,000 HEIs in the world, met the criteria to be included in the rankings.

Discernment Retreat 1: Trust The Process

The whole retreat aimed to encourage our Aspirants to trust the discernment process and to look at the various experiences that may help deepen their understanding of God's invitation and their willingness to respond to God's love.

LEAD PDT Secures Another SMC Scholarship

The Lasallian East Asia District (LEAD) Professional Development Team was able to secure a graduate school scholarship for another young Brother in St. Mary’s College (SMC) in California.

Thank you for making this possible, SMC President, Dr. Richard Plumb and Br. Nicholas, District of San Francisco New Orleans (DSFNO) Visitor, and Br. Chris, DSFNO Auxiliary Visitor.

Currently the Brother on Scholarship at SMC is Br. Iñigo Riola who recently passed his comprehensive exams and is one step closer to his PhD.

LEAD Vocations Survey

The LEAD Vocations team presented the data gathered from the Vocation Survey to Lasallians in LEAD involved in vocations ministry

Brs. Nico Mariano and Weegee Enriquez, who led the survey and analysis of data, expressed that the study and its results aim to report to the stakeholders (Brothers, Lasallian Partners, etc.) the actual situations and “on the ground conditions related to vocations promotions.”

LSC 90th Anniversary Cross Harbour Swimming Gala

HONG KONG - The 90th Anniversary Cross Harbour Swimming Gala was held this morning as part of the New World Harbour Race 2022. Seven Old Boys and 3 students braved the cold, early swim across the Harbour.

Br Thomas, Mr Ronnie Wong, Mr David Mong and Dr Jimmy Wong were granted the honour of firing the starting pistol for our heat.

Aspirations Of The 3rd LEAD Mission Assembly

On 17 to 18 September and 08 October 2022, sixty-nine (69) Brothers and lay partners from across the seven countries of the Lasallian East Asia District gathered virtually for the 3rd LEAD Mission Assembly. The objective of the gathering was to craft the District’s response to the pathways proposed by the Institute’s 46th General Chapter. The Transformation Pathways and their related commitments were organized under three (3) main themes that were identified as vital discussion points for the gathering: Mission, Formation, and Renewed Structures.
