With faith in the resurrection, the Lasallian East Asia District [LEAD] announce the passing of Br. Dominic Chong Soon Cheong FSC on 2020 July 29 at Residencia De La Salle, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, Philippines. He was 81 years old and a De La Salle Brother for 60 years.

Br. Francisco Celebrates 75 Years As A Brother

On July 25, Br. Francisco Martin FSC, a Cuban De La Salle Brother from the Baltimore District, will celebrate his 75th anniversary as a Brother. He offered himself to be a missionary to the Philippines in 1974. He taught Spanish and History of Religion at De La Salle University from 1975 to 1982. He has written a number of textbooks such as Lecturas para el Español III and Manual del laboratorio Español 1 para Comunicacion. He is currently in New Jersey and will have a simple ceremony on the 25th.

Lasallian Brother Completes Cross Stitch Of Periodic Table After Two Decades

A Lasallian brother finished his cross-stitch piece of the periodic table of elements after two decades — a feat he made while on lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.

Brother Martin Sellner FSC revealed his embroidering accomplishment via Facebook on Friday, July 17.

“Finally after two decades, the cross-stitch of the Periodic Table is complete,” he said, posting photos and a video of the last five stitches he made “out of over one million.”

Hakodate Parishes Extend Help To Foreign Workers

JAPAN - As featured in a regional newspaper, Br. Rodrigo and the other members of the Catholic Church in Hakodate expressed solidarity and extended help to mostly Vietnamese and Filipino workers in the midst of the COVID-19 woes. Coordinated by Yunokawa Parish and together with Lasallians from Hakodate La Salle, they checked on the foreign workers, collected and distributed food supplies to those who needed it. (Text: Br.
