The LEAD District Council members gathered online on December 17, 2020 for the 38th District Council Meeting (DC38). There was complete attendance despite members being in different locations and timezones across East Asia.
The meeting started with the LEAD 10th Anniversary Prayer, followed by a short moment of silence to remember the two recently departed Affiliated members of the Institute, Cardinal Soter Fernandez and Mr. Diotay Lopue.
A number of agenda items were waiting for the DC members to discuss, starting with the evaluation and action plans of the Integrity and Safeguarding Board. Updates on the LEAD Mission Council (LMC) activities, the LEAD 10th Year Anniversary, and the Annual Retreat were some of the major topics reviewed.
There are a lot of upcoming activities for 2021, but given that the pandemic is still around and social distancing rules are still in force, the organizers have to be creative in planning for the events.
